Ravensthorpe Nickel Transportable Substations (WA) 2006

Peak Industrial Electrical provided the complete installation of multi-tiered MCCs, HV switches, LV and HV VSDs and power factor correction equipment for 11 switch-rooms at the Ravensthorpe Nickel Project. The installation required power and control cabling installed on cable supports installed under the rooms. The switchrooms were designed to be transported in sections and the installation works were completed in Perth prior to transportation to the site. The works included the full installation of all cabling and equipment and the complete dry commissioning of each room prior to disassembling the rooms and disconnecting the equipment across designated transport breaks for transport to site. On site works included the reconnection of cables and equipment and retesting of the switchrooms and integration into the various site systems during the commissioning of the nickel processing facility. |
